The Wedding Season

The vast majority of the Greek population is Orthodox.

For this reason, there are certain times of the year when weddings cannot take place in Greece. For example, you cannot get married during Great Lent, which takes place before Easter.

COUTUMES IN GREECE are very important. There are some rules to follow on the big day. The bride-to-be is dressed by the women of her family, who take care to hide their protégée until the ceremony. During the ceremony, the bride and groom must wear a crown. They are then tied together with a ribbon, SYMBOL OF THEIR UNION.
